Melissa Queyquep
As Learning and Evaluation Director at The Foundation For Tomorrow (TFFT), Melissa Queyquep brings more than ten years of experience in the education sector. As Learning and Evaluation Director for The Foundation for Tomorrow Queyquep conducts needs-based training for primary and secondary school teachers from the TFFT’s partner schools. Additionally, Queyquep oversees the Monitoring and Evaluating Program for all of TFFT’s Programs as well as identifies development possibilities for TFFT’s programs.
A large part of Queyquep's experience was as a curriculum and courseware developer for a network of private schools in the Philippines. The turning point of her career was working for Asian Council for People's Culture whose aim was to provide culturally-responsive education to indigenous tribes in the Philippines. As ACPC's Curriculum Development Associate, Queyquep worked with community educators and parateachers, training them and assisting them in developing their respective tribe's curriculum for their own tribal school.
Prior to joining TFFT, Queyquep received a BA in Secondary Education at Central Luzon State University. She has also taken courses toward a Masters degree in Educational Psychology at the University of the Philippines. She also has a TESOL and Teaching English as a Second Language Certificate. Prior work experience for Queyquep includes being a Training Specialist for an Australian government-funded projected implemented by the International Organization for Migration in the Philippines as well as serving as continuing Professional Development Facilitator in Malawi as a VSO volunteer.
Queyquep lives in Tanzania now with her son North and partner Ken. On her own time Queyquep loves to read and go to the Matumba (second hand market). One day she plans on returning to her home in the Philippines.
