JOICE
Joice

Joice and her twin brother Amani have the most infectious smiles of all the kids joining the TFFT sponsorship program in September. They started school September 3 at Fikiria Kwanza Academy in Usa River, Tanzania.

Joice and Amani come from neighboring Nkoaranga where they live with their Aunt, Uncle, and cousins. They will both repeat the grade they are currently in due to the tough transition from classes all taught in Swahili to a wholly English curriculum at Fikiria Kwanza. Joice likes to help her Aunt with house chores like cooking and cleaning. She is grateful that her Aunt takes such good care of she and her brother and she wants to make it as easy on her Aunt as she can.

She works hard at all subjects, but enjoys English the most. She wants to be a teacher and says that studying hard at English will help her find a good teaching job one day. She helps her brother when he needs it and plays with all the neighborhood kids when they are not in school. If you want to know how she feels about this new opportunity to go to an English Medium School just take a look at her picture. To learn more about how you can effect positive change, please visit our TAKE ACTION page!
