NICEMARY Nicemary joined our TFFT Sponsorship Program in September when she continues her enrollment at Fikiria Kwanza Academy in Usa River, Tanzania. Nicemary was given the perfect name because all of her teachers describe her in one word, “nice.” She and her younger sister are both joining TFFT. They live with their grandmother in Akeri, a village near Usa River. They lost both of their parents when they were young to AIDS. She feels that with a strong education she can create a bright future for her family and village.
She wants to be a pilot and help others orphans like herself. Her favorite subject is Social Studies because she enjoys learning about her country and the rest of the world. She has a difficult time in math, but stays after school and even works during holidays to try and improve her scores. She is thrilled about this new opportunity to stay in school and looks forward to proving herself in the classroom.
