Anne PalmerAnne Palmer has joined the team at The Foundation for Tomorrow as the Program Director for our Full Circle After School Program. She will also be training the Usa River Academy staff, teachers and nurse in basic medical and first response techniques to ensure the safety and health of our children. Born and raised in Southern California, Anne grew up travelling with her family. Anne visited Tanzania when she was 14 with her parents and younger brother. She immediately fell in love with Africa and her experiences guided the course of her education and fostered a deep love for both people and travel. Anne returned to Tanzania when she was 22 while studying at university and has since longed to live and work in the country. At TFFT Anne has found a home that is the ideal fit for her skills and ideals. Anne attended UCLA where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Anthropology. Anne’s study of anthropology combined her passion for travel and culture. She was also fortunate to live and study abroad in Italy, Spain and Peru. Anne has also been medically trained and is a certified as an EMT, wilderness first responder, and wilderness EMT. Post graduation Anne worked as an outdoor educator and coordinated programs with an emphasis on science and personal development. Previous to coming to The Foundation for Tomorrow Anne was living in Lake Tahoe, California where she was working as an early childhood consultant and was a member of the Search and Rescue Team. Anne has a love for outdoor activities and is an avid skier. |
